We need to be honest about hemp. We love hemp, but what we don’t like is companies who are more interested in sales than in good quality products and accurate information. Hemp is known to help with pain relief, but unfortunately, it is not a magical cure, and companies claiming it is are really just trying to get you to buy their product. Some companies are putting profit over the health benefits of their customers, and this needs to stop.

The best way to do that is for everybody to be a little bit more informed into what goes into growing and creating hemp products, and what vendors may do in order to get you to buy their product. These dishonest vendors will sell you low quality and possibly slightly dangerous products in order to reap the highest profit they can get.

Thousands of people have experienced the benefits of hemp and cannabis, but not to the scale that some venders may claim. There is still much research to be done. So, while it is known to help treat some ailments like migraines, it should not be used as a cure, nor should it be used over any medicine or medication that someone has been prescribed (know here is CBD oil good for migraines?). Dishonest vendors rely on misleading labeling and high pricing to make their products seem far more powerful than they actually are.

At the moment, there are not many regulations in the production of hemp and CBD products, so as a consumer it is important to make an informed decision before buying any hemp product.

We have put together some of the problems and risks producers of CBD and hemp products face in the hope that it will keep you, the consumer, informed and feel more confident when assessing what to buy and what to avoid.

Low-Quality CBD Products Negatively Affect Industry Reputation

Dishonest vendors selling you low-quality CBD products hurts the reputation of cannabis more. In 2014, cannabis activist Micky Martin predicted that the sale of legal cannabis products will be fraught with fraud, corruption, and deception. His statement is largely agreed with.

Corrupt and dishonest vendors sell low-quality CBD products to those in need, preying on the vulnerable in order to make a profit. These people are less likely to know a lot of information surrounding CBD and can easily be duped by the wild and inflated claims made by people who do not have their best interest at heart.

CBD has shown to have many benefits. These include relieving pain, reducing seizures, easing anxiety and helping people sleep (Check out the best rated CBD oil for anxiety). With more research, CBD could be used to help treat some of these. However, there is currently not enough research to back up all the claims people make about CBD. While it is known to help in some of these instances, it should not be used instead of medicine, and anyone who advertises it as a miracle cure is being dishonest.

Poor quality products with misleading labeling and inflated claims all work to hurt the industry instead of helping it. Before buying any CBD products like CBD capsules for pain, it is important to read properly conducted studies on it alongside people’s claims, as their claims alone cannot be backed up by science. This will help you get the information you need to make a proper, informed decision and not be duped by others. You should then research the best companies to buy from, as they will all be grown and advertised slightly differently. It is a lot of research and a lot of time, but it will save you in the long run.

Impurities and Toxins Found in Cannabis

Just like with hemp, legal recreational cannabis has occasionally been found to contain toxins and impurities that cause it to be a health risk to the consumer. This includes anything from mold to toxic pesticides.

NBC recently ran a study that tested cannabis for toxins and impurities in the southern half of California back in February. What they found was that 93 percent of the cannabis they tested had higher than the legal maximum pesticides in it. This poses a health risk to the consumer and should urge lawmakers into toughening laws surrounding pesticides and toxins.

Similar studies have also found traces of mold and germs in cannabis in California. While impurities and toxins are still found at such a high level in legal recreational cannabis, the consumer has to be careful where they purchase it from and has to make an informed decision on how safe it is. We hope that in the future it is not solely the responsibility of the consumer to make the informed decision on safety, but the vendors as well. Producing higher quality recreational cannabis with fewer pesticides in an environment that does not contain higher traces of mold and germs will make the product safer for everyone.

Honest Hemp Growers and Fewer Pesticides Offer Better CBD Options

Hemp is a highly adaptable plant and there are numerous varieties that can grow in almost any climate around the world. Hemp needs minimal care while growing and can grow in the dense multi-acre land. Psychoactive cannabis grows best in humid environments.

Because the plant is relatively easy to grow and look after, it requires minimal pesticides and herbicides. This means that it is much cleaner, especially more so than hydroponically grown cannabis.

Whilst most hemp is still imported from overseas, consumers can now find some products that have been grown and produced in America. The best CBD producers can also offer you detailed lab reports on what you are buying so that you know exactly what you are getting. This level of honesty is what we are looking for when buying hemp products. If there is any doubt, best to see if you can be more informed and if you can’t, look for a different vendor.

Hemp Is Amazing but Quality of Source Matters

From what we’ve seen of hemp, some of the effects seem to work and seem to work well. But we need to stop treating it as a miracle and start looking at the quality of the source. Much like with any other product, the better it is grown, the better quality it is, the better it will work.

Hemp is a great plant, and with some research, we could be able to incorporate it into our everyday lives. Hemp makes a great alternative for cotton, is known to relieve some of the effects of stress, may be used as a pain reliever and could be used as a treatment for insomnia.

However, just because something is natural does not always mean that it is better, or automatically good for you. It is up to you, the consumer, to be educated in what goes into making hemp and what you are being sold. Hemp, just like anything else, needs to be cultivated and taken care of in order to get the best quality possible. If someone is selling hemp as a miracle cure for a pretty cheap price, the chances are it’s not great quality.

So, before you believe all the claims that you read online, the best thing you can do is educate yourself on what you are buying first. That way you won’t risk wasting money on products that don’t work.

You may think that we are being overly cautious or trying to refute claims, but we are big believers in the potential of hemp. However, that potential cannot be fulfilled if growers and suppliers are dishonest or do not provide the best quality they can make. Advertising hemp as a miracle cure for it then to not work only damages its reputation further.

Because using hemp in regular products like lyft CBD gummies is still new, there is still more research to be done. That means that some vendors can get away with selling you a lie and it is up to the consumer to educate themselves. Finding a vendor that will provide you detailed information and lab reports does make them more reliable, and we would be quicker to trust them than those that don’t, but it is safer to have a good knowledge of the product that you are seeking before making any purchase.

We hope that in the future, the laws surrounding the production of cannabis are altered to make the product safer for everyone. We want the future of hemp and cannabis to be a positive one, and we do not want the reputation tarnished more so than it already has. Here now, in the future it is not just up to the consumer to make an informed decision, but it helped along by honest growers and vendors.
